- Is this prescription strength?Azelaic acid is sold over-the-counter up to 10% in the US. Our 10% concentration is the top of the OTC range; the prescription form (Finacea) is 15% and only available with a doctor's order.
- Can I use this with retinol or tretinoin?Yes. Azelaic acid pairs well with retinoids — use the serum at night and apply your retinoid on alternate nights, or layer the serum first, wait two minutes, then apply tretinoin.
- How long until I see results?Most participants in our clinical study reported visible redness reduction by week 4. Hyperpigmentation can take 8 to 12 weeks. Consistency matters more than dose.
